The Day of Remembrance
As part of the Day of Remembrance for the Defenders of Ukraine, who gave their lives in the fight for its Independence, a separate event was held for the families of Heroes at Kyiv Zoo. The families of servicemen are regular participants in our zootherapy project “Kind Stick Insect”, and we are particularly proud to have had the opportunity to offer rehabilitation activities for them on this day of Remembrance and Honour.
The children and wives of our Heroes enjoyed a special and enriching programme: a guided tour of the zoo on an excursion train, a lecture about domestic animals, therapeutic interactions with animal assistants, feeding farm animals at the children’s playground, and stories about the most interesting inhabitants of Kyiv Zoo.
It is a great honour for us to preserve peace in the hearts of the families of those who have preserved our beautiful country!
