Special Care for Our Senior Tigress Amba
🐯 Our tigress Amba is 21 years old — a very advanced age for a big cat.
🐾 Due to age-related changes in her musculoskeletal system and altered limb alignment, the natural wear of her claws has been reduced, resulting in excessive overgrowth. KyivZoo’s veterinary specialists trimmed and corrected Amba’s claws and also collected blood samples for laboratory tests to assess her overall health. Once the results are available, her supportive treatment will be adjusted if necessary.
