Advancing our work with the international Species360 database

The European Association of Zoos and Aquaria, of which Kyiv Zoo is a candidate for permanent membership, sets a high scientific and professional standard. Therefore, continuous staff training is an essential part of life at Kyiv Zoo. On September 22-23, 2025, our specialists underwent further training on working with the Species360 Zoological Information Management System (ZIMS).
We thank the highly professional representative of Species 360, Uljana Kalazny, for her expertise and willingness to share knowledge!

Species 360 is an important tool in species conservation efforts. Species 360 contains an electronic database that includes detailed information on more than 3 million animals (over 23 thousand species in total).
Species 360 is an international non-profit organization and a global leader in wildlife conservation and preservation, uniting zoos, aquariums, universities, and scientific and governmental organizations worldwide to improve animal welfare and species conservation.
