The next stage of rehabilitation of rescued Jaco
☝️ The rehabilitation of injured animals is always a long and gradual process. These rescued Jaco parrots were brought to Kyiv Zoo by police officers in the spring of 2022.
🦜 🦜 🦜 After two years of treatment and adaptation our feathered patients have moved on to the next stage – socialization. For this, their aviary was additionally reequipped and now this bustling flock is mastering their new possessions under the close supervision of our zoologists and veterinarians.
✅🌿⛲ For the comfort of the birds, there are various accessories, toys, tree branches, feeders and a decorative fountain.
‼️ In recent years the population of Jako in the world has sharply decreased due to harmful human activity. Currently, the species has even been given the status of “endangered”. Therefore, their preservation and rescue are of extreme importance for the world of wildlife.
