The Good Phasmatidae: Sharing Warmth and Support
☝️🐾 The animal world has an amazing ability to provide peace and emotional relief. That’s why the zoo-therapeutic project «The Good Phasmatidae» helps those who need it most right now: our Defenders, internally displaced persons and patients in children’s and adult medical institutions.
🙏👧👦 This time in collaboration with the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War we held an event for children whose parents are currently in captivity or missing.
🦗🪳🐍 Interacting with the animals-assistants of our project helps reduce anxiety, improves mood and creates a space where one can distract from unpleasant thoughts. Positive emotions are an essential companion for emotional recovery.
