Spring migration of pelicans
🌞💧🌿 The ice on the lakes has finally disappeared and the largest water birds of Ukraine – the Red Book pelicans – have returned to the water in a flash.
💚🐣 The air is filled with joyful gurgling and flapping of wings. What’s more, the family consists of 16 pink and 4 Dalmatian pelicans and last year this noisy flock was replenished with three pink pelican chicks. They are now easily distinguished by their gray plumage and “childish” clumsiness as this spring they are first exploring the lake grounds.
✅🏞️ Here, the pelicans’ comfortable life is ensured by clean water, natural stones, grassy slopes, dense bushes and tall trees, areas for sunbathing and relaxing in the shade, nesting platforms and, of course, lots of fresh, tasty fish!
☝️🐟🍽️ So every day at 12:00 you can watch their fish lunch during which each bird eats up to 1.5 kg of fish
