In difficult times of war our animals need extraordinary care and attention. Especially when it comes to young families and their offspring. After all despite the explosions and sounds of sirens animals should feel comfortable enough to not only give birth to healthy babies but also to raise and prepare them for independent life. And we succeeded
In the family of ring-tailed lemurs Limpopo, Martha, Maya, Moni and Lola this spring as many as five cubs were born and are growing. In the circle of the native family and under the constant care of our zoologists and veterinarians the babies quickly gain weight and are already taking their first steps. Although at any opportunity they still ask their mother to hold their hands.
You will be able to see the happy family at the lunch treat this Saturday and Sunday (June 24-25) at 12:00 at the Primates House near the lower lakes of the zoo.
