Horace the elephant’s birthday
🐘💚🎂 Today, the largest resident of Kyiv Zoo turned 19 years old. That is 24 years old by human standards.
🍌🌶️🍏🌿 From the very morning we greeted our elephant with special treats: juicy vegetable and fruit mix served on banana leaf. And not in a wintery way, the warm weather allowed the birthday boy to have sport entertainment!
☝️ Our Horace was born on February 14, 2055 in Germany, in Tierpark Berlin, with which our zoo has a warm long-standing friendship. In the course of the global reconstruction that began in Kyivzoo in 2017 it is planned to arrange the Valley of Elephants with an area of more than 6 hectares and conditions close to natural ones. At the same time it is planned to create an elephant group. But first – our Victory 💙💛
