Fountains, water features, ponds and shady canopies – everything for the comfort of Kyiv Zoo residents
🌞🐾💦 The hot summer period is always a challenge for zoo keepers. After all, even on the hottest day, each animal must be in comfortable conditions and this is primarily due to constant access to clean drinking water and humidifiers, pools and ponds.
✔️And although this summer the weather pleases us with periodic heavy rains – we are always ready for drier periods.
💧⛲ In total, the water extravaganza consists of: 10 lakes and ponds, 32 fountains, 23 electric drinkers, 21 water features, 33 aqua spinners, 25 pools and 58 sprayers.
🛖🏖️ And for a cozy afternoon rest more than five dozen different shade canopies have been installed, from small sun umbrellas for turtles to a large fabric pergola for our largest resident – Horace the elephant.
💚🏞️🌳 So, all residents enjoy water procedures while relaxing in the green park of Kyiv Zoo. Come for good emotions!
