Father’s Day
On June 18 Kyivzoo hosted a city-wide event on the occasion of Father’s Day. 400 children of Armed Forces servicemen and families from the affected regions of our country were invited to the holiday.
On the initiative of the Children and Family Service of Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA), together with Kyiv City Center of Social Services, Kyiv City Family Center “Rodyny Dim” and volunteers from other social organizations of the city, dozens of various events with interesting prizes and delicious gifts were held on the territory of the zoo.
Children and parents were able to join the work of patriotic creative locations and centers of psychological assistance, such as:
“For you” (making magnets and greeting cards for parents); Production of the “Antistress” toy; Production of stereo postcards; “Father’s workshop” (making houses for the furry inhabitants of Kyiv Zoo – small and large rodents); “Every dad deserves a holiday” (making origami “Vyshyvanka for Dad”); Quest-walk “Summer Adventures with Superdad”; Outreach counseling of social work specialists; Express counseling of psychologists of Kyiv City Center of Social Services.Zoo visitors and their families willingly participated in the events.
Now more than ever people need psychological relief and we are glad to be a part of this good deed!
