Tiger 18: A Respectable Age for Big Cats
💙💛 The birthday of our Country coincides with another birthday at Kyiv Zoo – the birthday of our tigers, Rena and Malyuk 🐯🐯🎂
1️⃣8️⃣✅This year they turn 18 – a very respectable age for tigers. Behind this number is the daily meticulous work of keepers, zoologists and veterinarians: from a special diet and veterinary monitoring to encouraging natural activity and providing ongoing environmental enrichment.
🍽️🎁🥩 So, on August 22, 23 and 24 at 12:00, all the Zoo’s striped cats will take part in a special environmental enrichment program – a real quest with meaty surprises.
🐅🐅🐅🐅🐅 To get to the tasty meat treats, the tigers will need sharp claws, strong teeth, powerful muscles and some true predator ingenuity.
🧡🐾 Come and feel the striped energy of nature!
☝️ During air raid alerts, public environmental enrichment activities are suspended and resume after the all-clear.
🇺🇦🕙 On Monday, 24 August, Kyiv Zoo will be open from 10:00.
