International Cooperation for Animal Welfare

👩‍⚕️ At the UVMF&VNAU 2026 International Congress in Vinnytsia, our specialists met Dr Gemma Campling, Chief Executive Officer of the international veterinary charity Worldwide Vets. Shortly after this first meeting, she visited Kyiv Zoo.

🙏🩺 The organisation brings together veterinarians and specialists from different countries who rescue and treat animals in regions affected by war, natural disasters and humanitarian crises. The Worldwide Vets team also supports local professionals, provides training and contributes to the development of modern veterinary medicine.

☝️🐾 During the meeting, we spoke about the daily work of our specialists, the specific challenges of caring for animals during wartime, and the treatment, rehabilitation and socialisation of rescued animals.
